For editable manuscript workflows, Office144 supports DOCX, TXT, Markdown (MD), and RTF files (up to 25 MB). PDF is supported as an export format rather than a new editable manuscript upload.

Yes — AI is entirely optional. You can upload your own work, write and edit manually, use templates, and format projects without touching an AI feature.

AI tools can help with selected writing, rewriting, brainstorming, structure, and other supported tasks. You stay in control of what's generated and what you keep — nothing runs until you confirm.

Credits are used only when you request a supported AI action, such as drafting or cover-concept generation. A subscription unlocks software access and plan limits; credits cover AI usage. Your balance and any purchase options appear in your account and billing area.

Not directly. Office144 helps you prepare publishing-ready files and project details, but you still upload and submit your final files through Amazon KDP or another publishing platform.

Yes, where supported by the project type. Office144 is designed to prepare polished digital and print-ready outputs, including high-quality PDF export for publishing workflows. Some export formats are still expanding — always preview before you publish.

Yes — when printing a book, order a proof copy from your publisher (such as KDP) and review it before publishing widely.

Yes. If you're on a subscription, you can cancel anytime from your billing settings; access stays active through the end of the current billing period.

No. Payments and card management are handled securely by Stripe — Office144 never sees or stores your full card number.

Depending on your device and Stripe settings, options may include card, Link, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. Availability is controlled by Stripe and your browser/device.

Yes. Use the help widget or support form and we'll reply by email, usually within 24 hours — no account or payment required.

Refund requests can be reviewed through support. Include the email used at checkout, your order details, and what went wrong. Credits already used for successful AI actions may not be refundable. See the Refund Policy.

Your projects are tied to your account and aren't made public simply because you upload or create them. Please avoid including highly sensitive personal, medical, legal, or confidential third-party information unless you have the right to use it.

We are not currently SOC 2 certified. We do follow practical security measures such as trusted payment processing through Stripe, authentication through Clerk, and careful handling of your content. Enterprise security documentation can be added as the product matures.

No. Office144 is not designed for protected health information or medical records. Please do not upload HIPAA-regulated health information unless a compliant workflow is explicitly provided.

Yes — image search is entirely optional and only runs when you type a term and click Search. Pixabay images are never used for AI generation or training.
